Keep Those *Crawling* Babies Clean

As a first-time mom I was lost when it came to how to keep my house clean for my little ones. I usually just swiffered my floors (gross, I know) and when my first baby started crawling, I knew I needed to make some changes. Why you may ask?? Well first off, I saw him straight up tasting the floor…. Uhhhh if I wouldn’t do that, then he probably shouldn’t. Secondly, I knew that the scented purple Swiffer solution I was using was filled with only God knows what. I knew I didn’t want my 8-month-old anywhere near those chemicals so I got to concocting a natural house cleaner that I knew would keep my floors squeaky clean and free of nasty germs.

I’ve been using this cleaner now for ~3 years and it really is something that I use on almost everything- high chairs, windows, counters, toys, carpet, anything my little ones can touch. About twice a month I will deep clean our floors with the cleaning solution and a shark steamer (https://amzn.to/4fHDSWk) and the other days I pour the solution into this easy-to-use Swifferish spray mop that I adore (https://amzn.to/4cm1FrN).

I have always loved the ease of the Swiffer when there’s no time to full on mop so this spray mop allows me to still clean easily while using my natural cleaner. Win win winnnning!

Many of the every day products that seem to make our life easy are filled with toxins we don’t need around us. By making little life changes, like moving from swiffer cleaner to an all-natural one, we are changing a lot about the environment in our homes and spaces that will eventually add up. It takes time to fully rid your house of harmful chemicals but one change can make all the difference!
